2008-2009 Mini-Showcase Events

 
Each event will consist of a maximum of 40 players
Florida-October 3-5, 2008 (7 remaining roster spots)-Cocoa Expo Sports Complex
California-December 20-22, 2008 (14 remaining roster spots)-Mt. San Antonio College
Florida-January 16-18, 2009 (10 remaining roster spots)-Cocoa Expo Sports Complex
Florida-March 13-15, 2009 (23 remaining roster spots)-Cocoa Expo Sports Complex
Florida- March 20-22, 2009 (29 remaining roster spots)-Cocoa Expo Sports Complex
Arizona-May 29-31, 2009 (35 remaining roster spots)-Scottsdale Stadium
 
Note: Check out Arizona Pro Prospects Tour and Florida Winter Pro Prospects Tour for longer showcase events.  Players must have at least 1 year of college experience to attend Mini-Showcase events. Players with less than 1 year college experience must register for either the Florida Fall League or either of the Pro Prospect Tour events. This Event is ALL-INCLUSIVE and Provides: (Lodging, Food, Equipment, and personal (www.fivetoolprospects.com) evaluation, scouting report and profile. Each event will also consist of live games so players can be evalauted thoroughly.

 
Players are Responsible for:
Personal Equipment: Glove, cleats, personal protective equipment, uniform undergarments.
Fee/Medical Insurance: ($595.00) Players can register by making a depsoit of $300.00. remaining balances will be due 30 days prior to event start date. Players making full payments 90 days prior to event start date will recieve a $50.00 "DISCOUNT". Players must bring proof of medical insurance and or sign event waiver.

 Will take place at the Cocoa Expo Sports Complex (500 Friday Road, Cocoa, Florida 32926). Players have options at  Orlando International airport (MCO) for transportation to complex. To reserve private shuttle service players need to call IPB office at 562-902-9416. Shuttle times will be at 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Players will meet outside baggage claim on side A of the airport under the Continental Airline sign. The fee for the private shuttle service is $25.00 each way. The airport to the complex is about 42 miles.The first Arizona event will be held at the Scottsdale Stadium Complex (7408 E. Osborn Road,Scottsdale, Az 85251). Lodging will be provided by the Comfort Inn-Scottsdale (7350 E. Gold Dust Ave., Scottsdale, Az 85258) Shuttle service is reserved by calling IPB office. The event in California will be held at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, California. Hotel is TBA.
 
 The goal of IPB's "Mini-Showcase Events" Is to take the tryout format and combine it with the Showcase format. Players will be thoroughly evalauted, but also have the opportunity to play in live games, which is the best way to evaluate!. In some cases a select group will play in a few lives games against Major League organizations. All players will have scouting profiles submitted on the (www.fivetoolprospects.com) web site. This will enable any professional scout, manager, coach or any other baseball representative to see and monitor a particular player. This certainly will lead to players being offered professional contracts along with other college and semi-professional opportunities.All event rosters will be emailed to each Major League scouting director and every professional  Independent league team.Current Major League scouts, professional managers and coaches will work as staff members at each event.
