 FLORIDA FALL LEAGUE (Purpose)

To give current International and Independent League professional players and  free agents or college experinced players an exposure based instructional oriented professional formatted Fall League. The goal is to provide the opportunity to this pool of players Major League Baseball organizational exposure in live scheduled games. Utilizing the 8 team  league format for live competition and evaluation. This format provides players 2 different opportunities for exposure, instruction, player development,  and professional evaluation. This simply leads to player's signing professional contracts in an honest and professional manner.

 

NOTE: Current college players may reserve a roster spot, in the event a player is drafted or signs a professional contract, at players request a full refund is in order.

 

 

Providing the only  Independent based Fall Instructional League. International Performance Baseball is a non-bias professional baseball development company consisting of current professional scouts, managers, and coaches, in parntership with the Independent Professional Continental Baseball League (CBL). The sole goal is to educate player's on all professional options that are available and through our events and leagues this will lead player's to signing professional baseball contracts. All professional leagues and player development options will be disclosed.

 

 

General Information

 

League is limited to 132 player's which will all be contacted and screened by league commissioner. The Florida Fall League will consist of 6 teams using 22 man rosters. Teams names TBA. All league stats will be accessible to all Colleges and professional leagues and scouts.

 

Reporting date is September 21st and the Florida Fall League will run through October 8th.

 

Up to 18 games scheduled against Major League Baseball organizations and Florida Fall League teams. Opening day is September 24th.

 

 

Scouts and staff representing Major League Baseball organizations, Independent and International leagues. Which will include the Atlantic, Canadian-American, Northern, Frontier, Golden Baseball, United, American Association, Continental, which have all confirmed attendance. International league representatives and scouts from Mexico, Japan, Korea, Italy and Taiwan have confirmed attendance as well.

 

 

Games will be played at the Cocoa Expo Stadium complex facility(former spring training home of Houston Astros). The complex will consists of 7 fields and (Stadium), 4 batting cages, conference rooms, on site cafeteria, lockers, training room, pool, league offices, and a gymnasium.

 

 

Florida Fall League staff members will include current scouts, managers and coaches from Major League Baseball organizations, Independent and International leagues.
 
Note: All Southern California residents that register for this event canb take place in optional workouts with Florida Fall League staff prior to this event.

This Event is ALL-INCLUSIVE and Provides:
Instruction: The Florida Fall League will consist of 18 days of professional instruction and evaluation. A (4 day) Fall training session will take place prior to OPENING DAY!
Games: Up to 16 games scheduled against Major League Baseball organizations and Florida Fall League teams.
Scouts/Staff Scouts/Staff from Major League Baseball organizations, and Independent/International Leagues in attendance daily.
Hotel: Cocoa Expo Dorms
Uniforms: Team uniforms and practice attire provided for use - Laundered daily.
Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner provided daily in on site cafeteria. Meal cards will be issued upon checking in.
Extras: All players will have profiles created and posted on www.fivetoolprospects.com this will enable  professional scouts, coaches, managers and any other baseball representatives to view your professional evaluation and scouting report. This will lead to more players signing professional contracts and or other opportunities at the college and semi-professional levels.
Expo: On site pro shop will have league items.
Transportation : (Players are responsible for all transportation (Flights-Taxi) before and after event.) Private shuttle services will be available for $25.00 each way. Player's must reserve time through IPB office. 714-970-BALL (2255). Shuttle times will be at 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. Shuttle van will meet players on side A of the airport under the Continental Airline sign outside baggage claim area on curb.
Fee : $2995.00 - $500 deposit required to assure roster spot (payment plans available) Remaining balances must be paid before August 10th, 2009. Balances paid in full  90 days prior to start date will receive a $200.00 discount..Local resident fee is $1995.00. Local residents will need to provide lodging and transportation. Players may have option to setup payment plans or inquire about local sponsorship in their area. Current professional player's need to (SCROLL DOWN) and read player's notes!
 
Players are Responsible for:
Air Travel: Player's will need to fly into a Orlando International Airport (MCO). Player's are responsible for ground transportation to complex. (Sky Shuttle and Taxi services available) Private van services will be available for $25.00 each way and times must be reserved through IPB office. Complex is 40 minutes from airport.
Personal Equipment: Glove, cleats, personal protective equipment. Wood bats and catcher's equipment will be provided for league. Player's may use their own personal equipment. Personal equipment can be ordered by contacting IPB office or placing order from Pro Shop.
Off Field Dress: Casual -weather should be warm in September and October.
 
Schedule of Events: (Below schedule was for 2008) 2009 Scheduled will be udated as event dates get closer!
September 21 Players report! Evening practice is scheduled, dorm rooms will be assigned to player's, uniforms and practice attire will be issued. League meeting and introduction. Team dinner will follow.
   
September 21-23 Pre-season training and evaluation sessions are scheduled and will consist of daily warm-up, stretching and conditioning. Defensive and offensive group rotations will enable  staff to evalaute and instruct. A professional instructor(s) will format each group and individual defensive and offensive rotation in the area of baserunning, outfield, infield, catching, hitting, and bunting. Batting cages will be used for individual tee work, soft toss, and short pitch. Early work assignments will be made prior to normal practice time for specific individual and group work. League Draft will take place at 8:00 p.m. on the 23nd.

League Rules American League rules will apply with the added (EH) Extra Hitter rule. This will create more at-bats for postion players. American and foreign players must comply with age requirements to sign a professional baseball contract. Check your Professional leagues for age requirements.
 
Player Notes: Event roster will be emailed to each Major League scouting director and every Florida area scout. All Independent Leagues will receive an email as well as event schedule and roster and player and staff invitations.
 Professional Player Notes: Current Professional Player's will receive a $500.00 discount.

COCOA EXPO SPORTS COMPLEX.

At the end of a hard day of training and play teams can relax and unwind by visiting the Space Coast’s finest sites. Cocoa Expo Sports is located on Florida’s Space Coast. The space coast is a vacationer’s paradise. There is sun bathing, surfing or sail boarding on miles of white sandy beaches or airboats and jet skis on the Indian River. During off time our teams visit world famous attractions such as the Cocoa Beach Pier, Kennedy Space Center and Ron Jon Surf Shop. The Space Coast is also the spring training home of Major League Baseballs Washington Nationals so teams can take in a game just minutes from our center at Space Coast Stadium.
